Booked the whole place for 3 days for a wedding . Rang ahead as we were catering for 60 people doing a BBQ . They assured us there were facilities . We did one row of burgers .. the gas ran out !! We called them . They didn’t have a spare bottle . Unbelievable. We had to put in 48 batteries to make sure the fairy lights worked in the barn . Staff were rude to us , asking why we were going in the fridge ?! Dirty glasses with insect stuck to it in our room . No tea or coffee in our room . Water spraying out of valve for mixer taps over bath for shower . Couldn’t tighten the tap in the bathroom No air conditioning . Trays in kitchen were filthy . Very very disappointed. Paid a lot of money . Definitely not worth it

I was a part of a wedding that took place in August and the lodge was absolutely stunning and the staff were lovely. It’s in a stunning location and the day was so beautiful, would 100% recommend! Thanks to all those involved who made the day extra special!

I recently attended a 3 day yoga retreat at Deighton Lodge. Beautiful place, Carla, Debbie and all of the staff so friendly. Yoga classes were really enjoyable. However, I booked a massage there which was not enjoyable. I was sharing the treatment room with a stranger and person doing my full body massage was male, I was not made aware of either of these factors prior to my treatment. I did not enjoy the massage, I felt quite uneasy and tense throughout. Not the experience I was expecting for £65.00. Other ladies I spoke with felt the same way.

Excellent place to stay. Everything here is first class. Very comfortable bed, location is less than 5 miles south of York, beautiful garden and attractive pond complete with carp. We will certainly return, very highly recommended, 5 stars.

Had my wedding here last week and what a venue. As well as being a stunning place, Sally and the team were incredible in helping us pull the day together and in making sure it ran smoothly. The house and accommodation was top-notch, clean, well-stocked and comfortable. The barn is a spectacle and a lovely blank canvas for couples to put their own stamp on! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Recently stayed at Deighton Lodge and can highly recommend it. Location was perfect. Close enough to a park and ride into York but still provided a quiet place to stay, with some lovely country pubs nearby for some great meals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent!
